Late twenties: fourteen names, and the long dinners
One drawer of the cabinetHalf the list is between twenty-five and twenty-nine, which makes this the largest drawer in the cabinet by some distance. It is also where most of the long bookings sit: of the fourteen, more than half say on their own pages that they would rather have three hours than one, and several say plainly that they would rather not take a short call.
The band describes settledness more than age. These are women who have stopped auditioning, know which room they want and will tell you which of two restaurants is the better idea. Ages here come from a document rather than an estimate, and the ladder does not change with any of it.
Late twenties, as hung
Twenty-five
Laura is 169 cm and athletic, light brown and green eyed, frank about preferring daylight and perfectly capable of a late night. Milena is 175 cm and curvy, black haired, and quieter than she looks from across a room. Rosa is 160 cm and curvy, chestnut and curly, and the warmest company here on a difficult evening. Vanessa is 173 cm and slim, sandy brown, gentle and quietly stubborn about a plan she does not like.
Twenty-six and twenty-seven
Cindy is 168 cm and slim, blonde, and nothing about her hurries. Nora is 166 cm and athletic, honey blonde, and keeps daylight hours when she can. Tina is 158 cm, espresso brown, and the best company here for a guest who wants to be argued with rather than agreed with.
Karolina is 174 cm and slim, black haired, tall and still. Michelle is 173 cm and curvy, dark brown, warm and practical underneath it. Samanta is 174 cm and slim, dark brown, precise about time in a way that an evening turns out to depend on.
Twenty-eight and twenty-nine
Liana is 167 cm and slim, chestnut, and has a stillness guests notice before anything else. Patricia is 172 cm and slim, auburn brown, discreet by instinct and calm on a bad day. Danielle is 170 cm and curvy, black haired, with presence she does not spend carelessly. Thea is 165 cm and curvy, caramel blonde and green eyed, and has made being difficult to rush into a virtue rather than a habit.
Why this drawer is the busiest
Because it is where the four hour dinner lives. Six of the fourteen appear on the dinner, overnight or client dinners pages, and those three commissions account for most of the hours this house arranges. If you are writing for a proper evening rather than an hour, this is the drawer to open first.
The cost of that is the diary. Fourteen names sounds like plenty and is, until a Thursday in October, so a day or two of notice is worth more here than anywhere else in the cabinet.
Where else the fourteen sit
Seven are in brunettes, three in black haired, three in blondes and one in auburn. Six are in slim and slender, five in curvaceous, six in statuesque, three in toned and athletic and two in petite, the overlaps being the ordinary arithmetic of a sorted list.
Asking for one of the fourteen
Give the date, the length from the ladder, the address and a name, or describe the evening and let Tamsin put two forward. Their districts run right across the attendance list, from Marylebone to Chelsea. The reply carries the arrival time and the figure, and her fee goes to her in person when she arrives.
