Blondes: four names, and what they have in common
One drawer of the cabinetFour names. Only the auburn drawer is shorter. Honey, caramel, bright gold and a loose wave, each worn long. They were not chosen as a set and they hold a pattern nobody arranged: three of the four say outright that they prefer the earlier half of an evening, and the fourth is simply better when nobody is watching the hour.
The colour is all this drawer sorts. Everything else, the districts, the frames, the ages, runs across it, and the ladder does not move for any of it: £250 an hour, £400 for ninety minutes, £500 for two, her journey across the two central zones already inside the figure.
Blondes, as hung
West of the park, two of them
Nora is 166 cm, honey blonde and hazel eyed, built by an outdoor life and genuinely happier at four in the afternoon than at midnight. She keeps her bookings around Holland Park and will suggest arriving before sunset so the walk in through the gardens is part of the evening rather than a detour.
Thea is 165 cm, caramel blonde and green eyed, twenty-nine, and asks for an early table in Kensington on the grounds that the kitchen is fresh and the whole evening is still in front of you. She is curvy, dresses in black with one thing in it that catches the light, and is very difficult to hurry.
The King's Road end
Cindy is 168 cm and slim, blue eyed, twenty-six, her blonde hair long and wavy and mostly left alone. She belongs to that small group who look composed in a garden at four and equally composed in a dining room at ten. She lives in Chelsea, swims, reads at breakfast, and is mildly amused by people who are late, which is as near as she comes to a complaint.
Across the road from the park
Nancy is 170 cm and curvy, golden blonde, blue eyed and thirty, and she has the calm of a woman who has already dealt with most things once. Her evenings sit on Park Lane and in the squares behind it, and she takes dinners and whole nights rather than short calls. She is the most experienced company here and the least interested in mentioning it.
Four shades, recorded as worn
Hair is written down as she wears it now rather than as a photograph once caught it. Nancy holds the brightest end of the four, Nora and Thea the honey and caramel middle, Cindy the wave. Two blue eyed, one green, one hazel, and heights from 165 to 170 cm, which is the narrowest range in the cabinet.
That is the whole of the physical description this house publishes about them. The rest of what matters is on four separate pages and takes ten minutes to read.
Where else these four sit
Three of them carry the fuller frame of curvaceous or the outdoor build of toned and athletic, and one the long line of slim and slender, so the drawers are worth reading in pairs rather than in order. Three sit in late twenties and one above it in thirties. If gold was not what you had in mind, brunettes runs to fifteen.
Asking for one of the four
Send a name, a date, the hours you want and where you are staying. Daylight is the easiest thing this house arranges, because nothing is competing for the room yet, and three of the four take afternoon bookings readily. Confirmation comes back with an arrival time to the minute and a figure in pounds, and her fee goes into her hand as she comes through the door.
