Cookies, and how little this site keeps
What this site storesA short page, because there is not much to describe. This site is built as flat pages with no accounts, no baskets and no logins, so most of what a cookies page normally has to explain does not apply here.
What is set without asking
One small item that remembers whether you have already answered the consent banner, so that you are not asked on every page. It holds a yes or a no and nothing else, and it is set because the site cannot work properly without it. Nothing about you is in it.
What is only set if you agree
Analytics, and nothing else. If you say no, none of it runs and no measurement cookie is placed at all. If you say yes, we count visits and which pages are read, in aggregate, to learn which districts people are actually looking for. We do not advertise, so there are no advertising cookies, no pixels and no trackers from other companies on any page here.
Changing your mind
Clear this site's data in your browser and the banner returns, so you can answer differently. A refusal is remembered just as carefully as an agreement, and refusing changes nothing about how the site works for you.
What is never put in a link
No page on this site carries a name, a hotel, a room number or a booking detail in its address. Nothing you tell Tamsin ever appears in a URL, in a page you visit or in anything we can measure. Booking conversations happen in a messaging application, not on this website, and nothing about them reaches these pages.
How long anything lasts
The consent item lasts six months and then asks again. Analytics records, where consent has been given, are kept in aggregate for two years and then deleted. Neither can be traced back to a person by us, because there is nothing on our side to trace them to.
