About Jasmin
Jasmin is small and entirely unbothered by it. She stands 160 cm and is petite. Her chestnut brown hair is long and straight, and her brown eyes give away rather more than she intends. She likes clean shapes and heels she can actually walk in, and she has the useful trick of looking finished in five minutes. In a large hotel suite she occupies more room than the measurement suggests. She travels light, one small bag, and is ready before anyone expects her to be.
She is twenty-two, the youngest woman here and the quickest. English is her language, spoken fast and clearly, and she will argue a point with you for the pleasure of the exercise. Buildings interest her, and films, and other people's work. She does not pretend to know things she does not know, which is a relief at any age. She is not impressed by a title and is genuinely impressed by competence, which she can spot in a sentence.
Park Lane is her usual ground: the hotels along it, the park across the road from it, and dinner at CUT, on the first floor at W1K 1PN, where the room is dark, the cooking is serious and a late table is not treated as an imposition. She lives east of here, in Soho, and comes across in a quarter of an hour. She is very good at the first twenty minutes of an evening, which is the part most evenings depend on. If the night runs long she will find the one bar still serving and know the way in.
Tell us the hotel and the hour and she will be there on time. Her ground is Park Lane and the addresses immediately behind it. Write once you know your nights in London and the reply comes quickly.

Booking her evening
Jasmin keeps late hours and is often free at short notice for hotel evenings on Park Lane. For a table at CUT, the same afternoon is usually enough.
Her figures are the house figures, printed in full on the rates page, and the whole arrangement runs in one thread from the first line to the confirmation.

An evening with Jasmin
Jasmin's evenings run late and start easily. A drink upstairs while she works out what sort of night you actually want, which she does quickly and without asking directly.
Dinner is dark and unhurried, and she is happy to be the one who talks if the day has flattened you. Her subjects are buildings, films and the odd, specific things people do for a living, and she asks about yours with real interest rather than manners. Afterwards the park is across the road and empty at that hour, which she thinks is the best thing about this stretch of London. If the booking runs on, she is a calm presence rather than a restless one, and she watches the clock only so that you do not have to.
Jasmin, in her own words
Because somebody decided every single line of them. Park Lane is half a century of people disagreeing in concrete.
I am twenty-two, and I would rather be judged on the conversation than on that.
Late. I am useless before noon and excellent at eleven at night. Mornings belong to other people. Give me eleven at night, a lamp in the corner and a conversation that has stopped trying to impress anybody, and I am the best version of myself.

In the margin
The remarks card for Jasmin is still blank, which is usually what discretion looks like. A note appears here only when a guest writes one, she agrees to it, and the house has checked that it reads as a first name, a month and nothing private.
